After coming out as gay in a Facebook post, a teenager named Zach Gibson received the loveliest, most supportive letter from his mother on the subject.
The NOH8 Campaign shared the post, and it quickly went viral.
Read the touching letter below, it's really wonderful ...
Gay or straight, black or white, rich or poor, teens will be teens and parents will be parents. Seriously, kids, throw out the soda cups. Are you starting a collection?!
Gibson later commented after becoming a quasi-celebrity
"I'm Zach, the one this is addressed to," he said.
"When I came out last week, I never expected this much support. I knew my mom would be fine with it, but I never expected this letter or this many people to spread it around."
"This means so much."
We're grateful for Zach's posting, his mother's response and everyone else who shared this story and brightened our Saturday morning. Pass it along!
