BOOKS 4 BOYNTON?BOOK DRIVE

During the month of March, the Boynton Library will be holding a Book Drive to gather new and gently used books for our library collection.? If you have?children?s and young adult fiction, nonfiction, and biography; manga, graphic novels and comic books; reference books, coffee table books, and other highly illustrated nonfiction, drop them off at the Boynton Middle School, 1601 North Cayuga Street, or at Wegmans Supermarket in the bin near the Kid?s Place anytime during March, 2012. A book talk at 4:00pm at Cornell University Mann Library.??Join Dr. Valerie Reyna for a ?Chats in the Stacks? talk about her new book??The Adolescent Brain: Learning, Reasoning, and Decision Making,??Valerie Reyna is Professor of Human Development and Psychology at Cornell, and a Co-director of the Center for Behavioral Economics and Decision Research. In her book, she brings together an interdisciplinary group of leading scientists to examine how the adolescent brain develops, and how this development impacts various aspects of reasoning and decision-making, from the use and function of memory and representation, to judgment, mathematical problem-solving, and the construction of meaning.

MAR. 16: REGISTER FOR 4-H PROGRAM???ANIMALS AND MEDICINE?

?Animals and Medicine? is a mini-course designed for students in 9th?? 12th?grade. The program will be held Friday evenings from April 6 ? May 11, at the Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine from 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m.??There will be a $50 registration fee. Taught by Cornell veterinary students, each week will focus on a different animal species or group of animals, including cats, dogs, horses, ruminants, swine, and exotics.??Enrollment in ?Animals and Medicine? is limited; parents are welcomed to stay.? Partial scholarships are available to assist with the registration fee.?
