Here?s a quick roundup of gallery offerings in the Arts District this month.? Above: detail from ?Homegoing? by Casey Weldon?@ Trifecta.
Trifecta Gallery
Casey Weldon returns to Trifecta for LOSE + FIND, which features multiple meanings: both hidden and obvious.
Gallery owner Marty Walsh explains that ?Lose + Find refers to a miniseries of lost ideas that Weldon has been wanting to do and found the opportunity to do them for this show.?
Weldon?s pop surrealism has recently attracted collectors? eyes; many of the pieces will no doubt be spoken for by Friday evening.
Neighborhoods by Edith Lebeau
(in the Attachment Room)
Quebec native Edith Lebeau paints strong female figures intricately paired with fauna and flora elements. Pop culture, fairytales and mythology often seep into the mix. The series interact as well as standalone to tell their own separate tale. Neighborhood is her first solo show in the United States.

Brett Wesley Gallery

This exhibition will focus on the overlap between these two artists practices; psychological distancing via a micro/macro perspective shift, with Ernst working from photographic and technological observations and Sandy working from textual and physical observations.
Sin City Gallery
The 12? of Sin competition compresses exhibition boundaries while expanding the artistic challenge through works of art that are no larger than 12 inches in any given direction. Submissions this year came from 230 international artists representing 10 countries and included numerous genres.
?This design competition of all-original works compresses the exhibition boundaries while expanding artistic challenge,? said the gallery?s curator and competition producer Dr. Laura Henkel. ?I am pleased that many of the artists who were accepted to exhibit are from Las Vegas. The competition reflects the highest caliber of international talent and Las Vegas has been a hidden gem of the art world,? says Henkel.
