Position Overview:?

The BlueGreen Alliance's Washington, D.C. office is seeking a full-time or part-time unpaid intern to assist the organization's communication team. We are looking for a personable, hard-working, and motivated individual with excellent oral and written communications skills. Job duties will include - but are not limited to - writing talking point, managing press lists, and monitoring the organization's media coverage. A strong interest in labor and environmental issues is necessary. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth for a talented individual committed to clean energy and social equity issues.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent research and written/oral communication skills.
  • Background in communications and knowledge of or interest?in the clean energy and/or labor movement preferred.
  • Experience with website updates and social media a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to be flexible, positive, take initiative, have
    good judgment, and a good sense of humor.
  • Strong interest in learning about energy and economic?development policy and advocacy.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • A strong commitment to BGA's mission and principles.
Education & Experience:
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but any applicant with?the requisite communication and research skills will be considered.
  • Experience with policy analysis is highly desirable.
  • Experience with labor organizations or prior non-profit?work is also desirable.

Compensation: All internships are UNPAID, though academic credit can be arranged.
